About

Earlier this year I did a remote internship at Marketing Simplified, working on mediaJira, an ad operations platform built on Django and Next.js. Most of my work there was real-time messaging and making sure each customer's data stayed separate.

I also built the online store for Universe Time Pty Ltd as a full-stack developer, including the storefront, Stripe payments, an admin panel for the staff and the deployment.

Before I moved into engineering I was a product manager at HelloRide for three years. A lot of that time was spent with developers working through APIs, data models and release plans, so I'm used to thinking about why a feature exists, not just how to build it.

    • Owned the internal BI and data visualisation platform. Over 80% of staff across every business unit used it.
    • Shipped an LLM-based tool for asking data questions in plain language, using metadata annotation and a Dify knowledge base, so business teams could get numbers without writing SQL.
    • Designed rule-based access provisioning tied to the HR system, which cut more than 20,000 manual approvals a year by 90%.

Full-stack engineer intern at Marketing Simplified

An ad operations platform for marketing teams, with 18 services running in Docker.

  • Built the real-time support workspace with Django Channels. Agents, conversations and new tickets each get their own group, so messages only go to the people who need them.
  • Made sure one organisation can never see another's data, across both REST and WebSocket, with ownership checks, upload validation and pagination.
  • Brought large CSV/XLSX imports down from about 30 seconds to under 2 by batching inserts, cutting repeated queries and uploading chunks in parallel.
  • Designed the customer data model and made organisation setup safe to retry.
  • Built queue and team management (T1 to T4 tiers), invitations and a rich-text quick-reply library.
  • Built the Zoom integration end to end: OAuth 2.0, encrypted token storage, 27 unit tests and the scheduling pages in Next.js.

Web Builder Agent

Capstone project at UOW, team of 6. I built the agent.

A chat-based tool that writes, fixes and deploys a website for you.

  • The agent is a LangGraph state machine. It plans the site, writes the code, runs it, reads any build errors or stack traces, fixes them and deploys the result in Docker.
  • It uses Claude API tool calls to edit files, run shell commands and deploy.
  • Every step streams to the chat UI, so you can watch it work and preview the site as it goes.

  • Product catalogue, side-by-side spec comparison and a checkout that works well on phones.
  • An admin back office so staff can manage products, stock and orders without touching code.
